Bowl Top Alumni Performer Awards For Week 15

MOBILE, Ala. (December 20, 2007) --
Jacksonville Jaguars veteran running back Fred Taylor won the Senior
Bowl NFL Alumni Top Offensive Performer of the Week Award for his
performance in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Taylor, who represented Florida in the
1998 Senior Bowl, rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars
29-22 victory. Taylor has enjoyed a banner 2007 season, rushing for
1,091 yards through the first 14 games.

A former Senior Bowler also made one of
the smartest plays of the NFL season when Pro Bowl running back Brian
Westbrook of the Eagles took a knee at the goal line instead of easily
scoring a touchdown in the final minutes which enabled the Eagles to
then run out the clock and defeat the Dallas Cowboys, 10-6.
Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher,
the 2005 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, turned in the weeks top
defensive performance by a Senior Bowl alum, as he made six total
tackles, two sacks, one interception and also recovered a fumble in a
dominating effort against the Vikings.
Urlacher represented New Mexico in the
2000 Senior Bowl.

Other top defensive performances by Senior
Bowl alums included a nine-tackle, 1.5 sacks and two forced fumble
effort by New England Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas, and a
15-tackle game by Atlanta Falcons linebacker Keith Brooking.
Over 575 former Senior Bowl players are
currently active in the NFL, including 24 players who were named to the
rosters for the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl game.
The 2008 Under Armour Senior Bowl is
scheduled for Saturday, January 26, with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. For

- Brett Favre, Green Bay Completed
19-30 for 227 yards and two touchdowns.
- David Garrard, Jacksonville
Passed for 197 yards and three TDs in win over Steelers.
- Jay Cutler, Denver Was 27-39 for
254 yards and one TD.
- Carson Palmer, Cincinnati
Completed 19-31 for 252 and one score.
Rushing:
- LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego
Rushed for 116 yards on just 15 carries and two touchdowns.
- Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia
Rushed for 81 yards on 18 carries and added 63 more on nine catches
and made one of the smartest plays of the year when he took a knee
at the goal line in the games final moments instead of easily
scoring a touchdown which enabled the Eagles to run out the clock
and defeat the Cowboys.

122 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Defense:
- Eugene Wilson, DB, New England
Intercepted a pass and also recovered a fumble in Patriots win.
- Trent Cole, DL, Philadelphia Had
three total tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.
- Bradie James, LB, Dallas Had
seven tackles and a sack.
- Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle Pro
Bowler had nine total tackles.
- Keith Bulluck, LB, Tennessee Had
ten total tackles, eight unassisted.

NFL Defensive Player of the Year had four tackles and two sacks in
Miami victory.
- Adalius Thomas, LB, New England
Recorded nine tackles, eight unassisted, added 1.5 sacks and forced
two fumbles.
- Gerald Hayes, LB, Arizona
Recorded ten tackles, nine unassisted, and a sack.
- Keith Brooking, LB, Atlanta Had
monster tackle game with 15 total stops, ten unassisted.
Special Teams:

Rookie kicker was a perfect 4-4 on field goals and leads NFL in
scoring with 130 total points.
