MOBILE, Ala. (December
22, 2007) --
Fans attending the 2008 Under Armour Senior Bowl will have the
opportunity to see one of college football’s most prolific passers in
Louisville’s record-setting quarterback Brian Brohm, who has accepted an
invitation to participate in this year’s event, officials have
announced.
Brohm will also be joined by his
Cardinals’ teammate, All-Big East wide receiver Harry Douglas, who
together formed one of the most potent passing duos in college football
this season.
Brohm finished his remarkable Louisville
career as the Big East’s all-time passing leader, throwing for 10,775
yards and 71 touchdowns, firmly establishing himself as one of the top
senior quarterback prospects in this year’s NFL Draft.

Louisville quarterback
Brian Brohm

During his outstanding 2007 season, he
passed for 4,024 yards, a school record 30 touchdowns, and also set a
Big East record with seven 300-yard passing games.
His best single game performances included
an unbelievable 555-yard, four touchdown passing game against Syracuse,
which set a new Big East single game record, a 467-yard, four touchdown
game against Utah, a 401-yard, five-TD effort against Middle Tennessee,
a 375-yard, four-touchdown game against Murray State, a 366-yard effort
against Kentucky, and a 350-yard, three-TD performance against
Cincinnati.
A 6-4, 225-pounder from Louisville, Ky.,
Brohm helped lead the Cardinals to the school’s first-ever Big East
Championship in 2006, throwing for 3,049 yards and 16 touchdowns.
He was also named the Orange Bowl’s Most
Valuable Player in his team’s 24-13 victory over Wake Forest, passing
for 311 yards.
Brohm was the Big East Offensive Player of
the Year and first-team All-Big East selection as a sophomore in 2005,
when he passed for 2,883 yards and 19 touchdowns, and led the Big East
in total offense and pass efficiency.

Louisville wide receiver
Harry Douglas

Brohm connected with Douglas 71 times
during the 2007 season to account for 1,159 yards, a total which enabled
the talented pass catcher to lead the Big East and rank third in the
nation in receiving yards per game with 115.90.
A first-team All-Big East pick in both
2006 and 2007, Douglas’ career receiving mark of 2,924 yards ranks
second all-time in Big East history.
The 5-11, 170-pound native of Jonesboro,
Ga., became just the second player in school history to record
back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons, as he led the Big East in
2006 with 70 catches for a school record 1,265 yards.
His season was highlighted with a
spectacular performance in the Orange Bowl, when he caught ten passes
for 165 yards in the win over Wake Forest.
