Announces Specific Player Locations And Times For Expanded Meet The
Players

MOBILE, Ala. (January
24, 2008) -- Under Armour Senior Bowl officials announced on
Thursday the specific player location and time schedule for Friday’s
expanded Coca-Cola Meet the Players event at the Mobile Convention Center.
The popular event, which was attended by over
10,000 fans a year ago, has been expanded for three hours to better
accommodate the crowds and to allow more fans an opportunity to meet at
least some of this year’s Senior Bowl players.
This year’s event will run from 3:30 to 6:30
p.m., with approximately half of the Senior Bowl players being available to
meet fans from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., and the remaining players available from
5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Players will be organized by eight different
“pods” or groups that will be arranged by both school and conference. Fans
will then be able to choose which line to join based on the players assigned
to that pod.
“This expanded Meet the Players session should
allow more fans to meet more players, as players will now be available for a
three hour period as opposed to just 90 minutes which has been the case in
years past,” said Senior Bowl Sales and Marketing Director Chris Morgan.
The event is also held in conjunction with the
Food World Fan Frenzy that takes place in the same Convention Center exhibit
hall from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and features football-themed interactives from
the New Orleans Saints and Under Armour, appearances by the New Orleans
Saints Saintsations cheerleaders, free hot dogs, Johnsonville Brats and
Coca-Cola products.
Here is the complete breakdown of when and
where this year’s Senior Bowl players will be available at the Convention
Center during this year’s Coca-Cola Meet the Players Event, subject to
change due to any last-minute roster changes.
