Under Armour Senior Bowl Announces First Ever
Nighttime Kickoff

MOBILE, Ala. (September 3, 2008) -- For the first time in the 60 year history of the game, the Under Armour Senior Bowl will kickoff under the lights at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The January 24, 2009 game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm (CT) and will once again be nationally televised by the NFL Network.

For the past several years the Under Armour Senior Bowl has featured a late afternoon kickoff, allowing fans to enjoy numerous pre-game activities while also providing ample time for tailgating. Senior Bowl Public Relations Director Kevin McDermond believes that the new kickoff time will not only allow more time for those festivities, but also enhance the overall atmosphere of the 60th game.

“The 6pm kickoff will offer our more than 40,000 fans the opportunity to enjoy all aspects of Senior Bowl game day,” McDermond said. “Having our first ever nighttime kickoff will also create a day-long buildup to the game, further adding to the excitement surrounding this unique event.”

Senior Bowl officials also announced today that tickets for the 2009 game are currently available for purchase both online at www.seniorbowl.com and by calling the Senior Bowl ticket office at either (888) 736-2695 or (251) 432-4109.

Fans will also notice that for the seventh consecutive year, ticket prices for the Under Armour Senior Bowl have remained the same. Sideline seats can be purchased for $24 and $18, while end zone seats are available for $12. The game has been a sellout for each of the past 14 years.

“We are very pleased to once again keep our ticket prices the same this year, which we believe offer our fans a tremendous value,” said Senior Bowl President Steve Hale. “Our fans also have the added convenience of purchasing their seats online through our website.”
