its second year as the Senior Bowl game’s title sponsor. The
Baltimore-based corporation is the originator of moisture wicking
performance apparel worn by athletes, and is a leading developer,
marketer and distributor of branded performance apparel, footwear and
accessories. The brand's moisture-wicking synthetic fabrications are
engineered in many different designs and styles for wear in nearly every
climate to provide a performance alternative to traditional natural
fiber products.

sold worldwide and worn by professional football, baseball, and soccer
players, as well as athletes in major collegiate and Olympic sports. The

Food World is owned and operated by
Bruno’s Supermarkets, Inc., which is the largest supermarket operator in
Alabama. Bruno’s currently owns and operates 169 supermarkets, 13 liquor
stores and two gas stations in the Southeastern United States. That
total includes 83 Food World stores in Alabama, and 25 in the
Mobile/Pensacola market.
Food World serves as the
title sponsor of the Food World Senior Bowl Charity Run, the running
festival annually held in downtown Mobile the first Saturday in November
which annually features over 5,000 runners and has donated over $3
million to over 100 Gulf Coast charities since its inception in 1989.

Other ancillary events held in
conjunction with the Senior Bowl that also carry the Food World title
sponsorship banner include the Food World Senior Bowl Sailing Regatta,
held annually on the weekend prior to the football game; the Food World
Senior Bowl Fan Frenzy, the interactive fan event held on the Friday
afternoon prior to the contest which also includes Coca-Cola/Baumhower's Wings
Restaurant Meet the Players; and the Food World Tailgate Party, a
free tailgate party for 3,000 fans held in the Ladd-Peebles Stadium
parking lot on Senior Bowl Saturday. |
