Duke's Jones eighth and final QB on roster

MOBILE, Ala.  (Jan. 5) -- Duke quarterback Daniel Jones, a fourth-year junior already with his degree in hand, has announced his intention to enter the 2019 NFL Draft and has accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Jones becomes the eighth and final quarterback on the Reese' Senior Bowl roster for the 2019 game, scheduled for Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala.

The 6-5 quarterback is coming off a record-breaking performance in the Independence Bowl on Thursday, when he finished 30-of-41 for 423 yards passing with six total touchdowns (five passing) and two interceptions. Jones finished his junior season 237-of-392 passing for 2,674 yards (60.5%), with 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

He joins other quarterbacks Ryan Finley (NC State), Will Grier (West Virginia), Drew Lock (Missouri), Trace McSorley (Penn State), Gardner Minshew (Washington State), Jarrett Stidham (Auburn) and Clayton Thorson (Northwestern) on the Reese's Senior Bowl roster.

Reese's Senior Bowl week begins on Monday, Jan. 21 in Mobile, Ala., and culminates with the 70th annual game on Jan 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. Kickoff is at 1:30pm on NFL Network. Practices are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday live on NFL Network and ESPNU.
