Dee Ford DE | Kansas City Chiefs
2014 Reese's Senior Bowl
Now in his fifth season since earning the Most Outstanding Player Award at the 2014 Reese's Senior Bowl, Ford has developed into one of the top pass rushers in the NFL. His three sacks against the Broncos on Sunday were a career high and pushed his season total to eight, second best in the league to last week's Senior Bowl Alumnus of the Week, Aaron Donald, who has 10. Dee is just two sacks off his career high of 10, set in 2016.
He also forced two fumbles in the game and has four this season, a career high.
Ford was just named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month (October), tallying 6.0 sacks, 16 tackles (13 solo), 10 quarterback hits, four forced fumbles and one pass defensed.
“It is good,” Ford told SB Nation. “It is great for me, but my blinders are on right now. This team is on a bigger mission. There is not a lot of time to celebrate. We have a bigger mission of what we are trying to do. It is great for me individually and I will probably celebrate once the season is over.
“This is just the type of guy I am, I just like to stay committed to the process.”
