Quote from Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy
“The New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe has been a great partner for years and we are excited to add this new cheer clinic to our game week calendar. We included cheerleaders in our Turkey Bowl event this year, and this is the next step for us to do more for the cheerleaders and dancers in our community. By partnering with the Saints Cheer Krewe, high school performers from all over the state will be able to connect with, learn from, and perform with professional athletes.”
Quote from New Orleans Saints Director of Entertainment Teams Sara Anderson
"We are thrilled to elevate our ongoing partnership with Reese’s Senior Bowl with the addition of a dance/cheer clinic. Being able to reach athletes with a love of dance and cheer on a deeper level is an incredible opportunity not only for those attending, but for our team as well. We can’t wait to show aspiring NFL cheerleaders what the Saints Cheer Krewe is all about!
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 110 total picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.
The New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe is a diverse group of athletes who demonstrate a mastery of talents such as dance, tumbling, and co-ed stunting. On game day, this multi-talented team can be found in Champions Square, on the field, and in the stands. The Saints Cheer Krewe excels in engaging and energizing New Orleans Saints fans on game days and serves as aspirational ambassadors in the community. Whether they are doing live performances, assisting with in-game promotions, or directly engaging with fans, team members play a vital role in creating a Dome Field Advantage on game days. Throughout the year, they bring the spirit of the Saints to the greater New Orleans area through community engagement and corporate appearances.
