SLANTS and RSB Form Partnership

Slants Partners with The Reese’s Senior Bowl as The Official Player Tracking Provider for Practice and Game Data

Mobile, AL and New York, NY (January 27, 2021) – Slants, an AI and computer vision-based player tracking company, has partnered with the Reese’s Senior Bowl, the preeminent college football all-star game, to exclusively produce tracking data for all of the practices and the game itself.

Slants revolutionizes the way player tracking data is collected. Rather than use any wearables or cameras, Slants uses advanced computer vision algorithms and machine learning to locate and track football players entirely through video, producing metrics such as top speed and acceleration. Their technology builds off of the award-winning paper they presented at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, and since then, they have been working with NFL teams to aid in scouting.

“We are thrilled to be working with Slants this year to provide tracking data for all 32 NFL clubs. I am a big believer in the value of analytics and their technology is a game-changer for the future of scouting” said Jim Nagy, Executive Director of the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

"We are very excited to partner with Reese’s Senior Bowl to provide player tracking data,” shares Slants Co-Founder, Ali Shah. Another Slants Co-Founder, Ameen Ajmeri, adds, “This year, more than any other year, data will be a crucial piece in the scouting and evaluation of prospective NFL players. We are looking forward to providing a unique lens into player performance at the Senior Bowl.”
