2011 NFL Pro Bowl Rosters Feature 24 Former Senior Bowlers

Rivers, Matthews among Senior Bowl alums named to AFC & NFC rosters

MOBILE, AL. --The 2011 NFL Pro Bowl rosters are once again filled with former Senior Bowlers.  A total of 24 former Senior Bowlers were named to the post season all-star game, including 13 starters and 11 reserves.  The 2011 NFL Pro Bowl will be played January 30th in Honolulu, Hawaii.

"We are always so proud to see players that come to the Senior Bowl go on and achieve greatness in the National Football League," Senior Bowl President and CEO Steve Hale said. "To have 24 former players land on Pro Bowl rosters speaks volumes for the type of talent the Senior Bowl features each and every year."

Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews will be making his second straight trip to the Pro Bowl after a sensational season for the Packers. The second-year player from Southern Cal and 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl participant is tied for third in the league with 12.5 sacks along with fellow Senior Bowl alum and Pro Bowl nominee, DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys. Ware will be making his fifth Pro Bowl trip.
