Dozen standouts added to roster, now at 104

Mobile, Ala. -- A dozen more of the top seniors in the nation have been added to the roster for the 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl, including Ben Boulware, the defensive MVP from last night's CFP National Championship game.

Boulware is one of six linebackers in a group that includes 11 players on the defensive side of the ball. Among them is USC defensive tackle Stevie Tu'ikolovato, who was the Defensive MVP of the Rose Bowl, and linebacker Harvey Langi of BYU, who was the Defensive MVP of the Poinsetta Bowl. Three Michigan players are among the 12 addittions, including All-American corner Jourdan Lewis, All-Big Ten linebacker Ben Gedeon and All-Big Ten defensive lineman Chris Wormley.

The lone offensive player in the group is Mississippi State tackle Justin Senior.

The 12 players push the roster total to 104, with several more expected to commit to the game in the coming days. Players report to Mobile on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23. The game is Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Kickoff is at 1:30pm.

Here are the 12 additions to the roster (alphabetical):

Alex Anzalone, LB, Florida – Athletic linebacker that was limited to eight games due to injury but still finished third on the team in tackles and sacks and second in quarterback hurries.
Ben Boulware, LB, Clemson – Heart and soul of the national champion Clemson Tigers. Defensive MVP of the College Football Playoff title game. Co-ACC Defensive Player of the Year led the team with 127 tackles. 
Tyus Bowser, LB, Houston – Second on the team with 12.0 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks and led the with 9 quarterback hurries in just eight games played.
Ben Gedeon, LB, Michigan – All-Big Ten performer and Roger Zatkoff Award winner as Michigan’s top linebacker. Led the team with 106 tackles and second on team with 15.5 tackles for loss.
Connor Harris, LB, Lindenwood – An AP Little All-American and the NCAA’s all-time leading tackler at all levels with 633.
Harvey Langi, LB, BYU – Defensive MVP of the Poinsettia Bowl with a 16-tackle performance. Has played defensive end, linebacker and running back this season.
Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan – All-American shutdown corner finished with ten pass breakups and two interceptions.
Derek Rivers, DE, Youngstown State – Led the FCS runner-up Penguins with 15 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss. FCS All-American has 37.5 career sacks.
Isaac Rochell, DL, Notre Dame – Three-year starter for the Fighting Irish led the team with 10 quarterback hurries.
Justin Senior, OT, Mississippi State – 39 career starts in the SEC and the Kent Hull Award winner as the top offensive lineman in the state of Mississippi.
Stevie Tu’ikolovatu, DT, USC – Grad-transfer from Utah and All-Pac-12 performer as key clog in the USC defense. Defensive MVP of the Rose Bowl.  
Chris Wormley, DL, Michigan – First Team All-Big Ten performer with 6.0 sacks and three blocked kicks.
