Bio

2013 (SENIOR): Cox ended his collegiate career with 32 tackles and six pass break-ups (2nd on the team)... The senior from Tuskegee, Alabama was named to the 2013 Sports Network Buck Buchanan and the 2013 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) preseason watch lists... He was also named a Sports Network preseason All-American...  He was named a 2013 BSTN All-American, Boxtorow All-American and a Sheridan Broadcast Network (SBN) All-American.

2012 (JUNIOR): Cox led the SWAC with five interceptions and was third in the league with 13 passes defended (eight pass breakups and five INTs)… He finished fifth on the team in tackles with 50 (36 solo and 14 assisted)… He also had five tackles for loss and two sacks.

2011 (SOPHOMORE): Cox played in and started all 11 games for Jackson State... He led the team with three interceptions and recorded 35 tackles... He recorded nine pass deflections, a blocked kick and had 2.5 tackles for loss.

2010 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 11 games for Jackson State and recorded 29 tackles and one tackle for loss... He tied for second on the team with two interceptions (42 yards) and finished third on the team in pass break ups with seven... He made his first collegiate start against Grambling State (third game of the season) and was a starter for the rest of the year.

2009: Did not play.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played wide receiver and defensive back at Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL).

PERSONAL: His older brother, James Patrick, is the starting safety for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League... Patrick also played three seasons in the NFL, two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-06) and one with the New England Patriots (2007)... Qua trains with his older brother in the off season.
