Offense

#6 Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
The Sooners are the new AP No. 2 team after taking down Ohio State, 31-16. Baker Mayfield avenged last year’s loss in Norman and has NFL scouts buzzing now after his 386-yard passing performance on 27-of-35 throwing with three touchdowns. Mayfield’s quickness, athleticism and competitiveness stood out while he flashed the ability to make NFL throws. Mayfield is the reason why the Sooners are again a College Football Playoff contender.
